OKC FLOOD WATCH

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Watch for flash flooding. Flooding of creeks and rivers and flooding of low lying areas in Oklahoma City from 10:00 P.M. this evening through Sunday afternoon. Heavy rainfall associated with widespread showers and thunderstorms late this evening into Sunday. Some locations will see 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, but isolated spots could see as much as 3 inches. These rainfall amounts could lead to flash flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
